Washington ACEP Leadership & Advocacy Student Scholarship
Washington ACEP seeks to support medical students with interests in emergency medicine, legislation, and both patient and provider advocacy through travel to the national ACEP Legislative & Advocacy Conference in Washington D.C. The scholarship will financially support students to attend educational sessions, receive mentorship from Washington ACEP leaders, build networking opportunities with emergency physicians throughout the country, and meet with Members of Congress in a structured setting. Washington ACEP strives to help students learn firsthand what it means to be a leader in emergency medicine from some of the most respected in the country.
About ACEP’s Leadership & Advocacy Conference
ACEP’s Leadership & Advocacy Conference gives you the opportunity to hone your leadership skills, stay current on legislative and regulatory issues, and meet with members of Congress to discuss the issues impacting emergency medicine. The 2026 conference will take place April 26 – 28, 2026 in Washington D.C.

Eligibility
Scholarship applicants must be a fourth-year medical student with demonstrated interest in emergency medicine and have a strong desire to attend the ACEP Legislative & Advocacy Conference. Scholarships will be awarded based on availability of funds and number of applicants who meet criteria.
Scholarship Award
Washington ACEP will directly pay for Conference registration, airfare, and three nights at the Grand Hyatt downtown D.C.
Deadline and Application Process
Applications are due March 17, 2026. Please complete the form below. Include a letter of intent detailing interest in emergency medicine and advocacy (no more than 1 page) and your CV to the form below. Applicants will be notified by March 23, 2025.
