Washington ACEP Chapter Awards

Washington ACEP Chapter Award recipients will be recognized at the Leadership Summit on Thursday, April 2, 2026 during the Luncheon.

GUARDIANS OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Purpose:   To recognize physicians, nurses, legislators, other organizations, or individuals who have gone above and beyond the norm to protect the safety net of emergency medicine, improve the quality of patient care delivery, and work to support the efforts of WA ACEP.

Criteria:  The Legislative Affairs Committee shall review nominations submitted by membership, board members, or staff for recognition. A vote of the committee shall be done to recommend the award to the board of directors. The board of directors shall have final approval or denial authority.

NANCY AUER MERITORIOUS ACHIEVEMENT

Purpose:  The Nancy Auer Meritorious Award recognizes WA-ACEP members who have gone above and beyond the norm in emergency medicine to improve the quality of patient care and support the efforts of the chapter.

Criteria: The Nominating Committee shall review submissions by membership, board members, or staff for recognition.  A vote of the committee shall be done to recommend the award to the board of directors.  The board of directors shall have final approval or denial authority.

WASHINGTON ACEP WELLNESS AWARD

Purpose:  To recognize a member of WA ACEP as a champion of wellness in a group or health system.

Criteria: The Wellness Committee shall review submissions by membership, board members, or staff for recognition.  A vote of the committee shall be done to recommend the award to the board of directors.  The board of directors shall have final approval or denial authority.

To nominate a peer, complete the nomination form by March 20, 2026.
